Strawberry Honey Brown Sugar Coffee Face & Body Scrub

I love this scrub, I think Ill do it tomorrow too. My skin is glowing, it is soft and I honestly feel about 3 lbs lighter. Its like all of that dead yuck just disappeared. Hope you all can appreciate this mask as much as I am. Let me know how you like it!!

So this is something new that I just thought of, my skin has been feeling extremely dull and just out of character so i wanted to do something that would rejuvenate it. The title tells it all but here are the ingredients that you will need

5-6 Strawberries (These strawberries should be close to going bad, because you want them to be soft and juicy.

2 Tablespoons of Honey

1/3 Cup of Brown Sugar

3 Tablespoons of coffee grounds

You can always add more or less depending on how thick/thin you want your scrub to be!

I can't believe that Ive never thought of this mask before, it doesn't look that appetizing but it smells DELICIOUS! Especially since I'm a huge coffee lover. Warning if you do not like the smell of coffee you may not want to do this scrub seeing as it will leave a slight coffee smell to your skin. But the best part is that it will leave your skin looking and feeling AMAZINGGGGG

A few facts about the ingredients in the scrub

Strawberries can be used for conditioning and toning the skin. They are rich in salicylic acid, an ingredient found in many commercial acne creams and thus are the best treatment for acne-prone skin. Strawberries help to tone the skin, lighten any pigmentation problems and keeps the skin smooth and supple.

Caffeine has potent anti-inflammatory properties that make it ideal for reducing inflammation and redness in your skin. Because the PH Balance of coffee is so close to that of us humans it is an excellent cleanser! Coffee also helps to reduce cellulite, By massaging the coffee product into the affected areas, the fatty tissue begins to break down, blood flow is increased and exfoliation occurs. This three-pronged approach is critical to removing toxins and improving the appearance of cellulite.

"Caffeine rubbed on the skin … would absolutely work to improve the appearance of cellulite," said dermatologist and La Jolla Spa medical director Mitchel Goldman, who conducted a study using caffeine-laced anti-cellulite cream. Of the 34 women in the study, 25 noticed a decrease in thigh circumference (Business 2.0; October 2006)

And as for the benefits of Honey and Brown Sugar Ive already explained those in past blogs, so feel free to scroll down to see the benefits :)

Step One : Mash or Blend strawberries extremely well

Step Two: Add Honey and Mix

Step Three: Add Brown Sugar

Step Four: Add Coffee grounds and mix together. Add more or less coffee grounds and Sugar to get desired texture

Step Five:  I brushed my skin with a skin brush to get rid of excess dead skin cells, you can do this too but if you don't have a skin brush you can skip it, not really a necessity.

Step Six: Get in the shower and bathe with a mild soap, as for temperature you'll want the water to be as hot as you can stand.

Step 7: Stay in the shower, either face the shower head away from you or turn the water off all together.

Step 8: Rub the scrub all over your body. Start out with your chest then move to stomach. From there apply everywhere, generously. And I mean everywhere. Add the scrub to your face lastly.

Step 9: Massage scrub into skin and on face. Keep this up as long as you feel, I think I kept mine on about 5 minutes.

Step Ten: Rinse scrub off, as you are doing this continue to run skin so that you're exfoliating extra and helping to get off the left over dead skin that is stuck to you.

Step Eleven: Once all of scrub is off rinse with the coldest water you can stand, it can be lukewarm. You just want it to be at a low enough temperature to close your pores. When you're rinsing face make sure to use COLD COLD COLLLD water!!

Step Twelve: Moisturize with lotion and Admire your fabulous skin!
